Rulings about JP procedures The following rulings have been issued by the Attorney General, as additional guidelines about the exercise of JP functions in NSW. The rulings have been issued under section 8(2) of the Justices of the Peace Act 2002. The rulings should be read and followed by all JPs for NSW. They should be read in conjunction with A Handbook for JPs in NSW, which contains step-by-step procedures for all JP functions.
